The Rx.com Mod Team has created this Service Play sub-forum in order to supply an area for Rx Service Play Posters to expand upon their posting topics without creating a logjam in the main forum where the three principle threads are maintained..

Posters can track services here if they care to but we will need any trackers to do so in an accurate and civil manner. We did not create this area for posters to ridicule or bash any services..

You can also discuss who is hot and who is not. The general state of the pay for plays industry and any other subject or topic related to service plays.

You can also create individual threads about specific services and discuss them freely but civilly. Again bashing and abusive treatment of any services will not be tolerated.

Please remember, this forum is not here for regular posters who cap their own games to post ther daily plays. Please use our individual sport forums to post your plays. Professional cappers (those that sell plays) must remain in the Site Promotion Forum.

The Rx.com will not tolerate posters that post false records of any services they track. Please be truthful if you decide to track a particular service.

Lastly The Rx Moderators are appealing to you our everyday posters to report any promotional threads or posts that are made by services or individual touts. No links or contact information to an individual service will be allowed. Just the name of the service. Please report any threads or posts that are promotional attempts by services and touts to use this forum to promote themselves..

Posters can easily report a promotional post by using the triangular Report-a-Post Icon at the bottom left of all post boxes. The poster name of any poster who reports a post that is out of line will be kept strictly confidential.

I will leave this thread open for a month to take questions and do my best to answer them. I will check in daily but am off on Wednesday and Thursday.

I hope this additional Service Play Forum will satisfy those posters that would like to widen the scope of topics relating to service plays and the industry in general to have their own threads. Mods will be liberal as possible regarding topics but this forum was specifically created to allow you more freedom to express your ideas regarding service plays and related subject matter. No off topic threads will be allowed.

Thank you, wilheim

Friday's Best NCAAB Bet

Princeton Tigers at Columbia Lions (+2.5)

The Lions once looked like contenders for the Ivy League title. Now, they just need to find a way to stop opposing scorers to have a shot at an NIT bid.

“We’re pulling it out of the net all of the time,” Columbia coach Kyle Smith said. “So there aren’t a lot of missed shots, and we’re not making them miss enough.”

Last weekend, Brown freshman guard Sean McGonagill light up the Lions for 39 points in an 87-79 loss. That defeat became a losing streak when in the next game Columbia let Yale put three players in double figures, shoot 50 percent from the field and make 44 percent of their threes en route to a 72-67 beating.

And things won’t be easier against the Tigers. Princeton is fully healthy, has already beat top Ivy League contenders Penn and Harvard and is one of the best shooting teams in the nation. The Tigers are in the Top 50 in the country in both field goal percentage (46.6) and 3-point percentage (37.9).

“They’ve got four studs, the way I see it,” Smith said. “Both of their guards can drill it from the three but I think their strength is really in their forwards with (Kareem) Maddox and [Ian] Hummer…they post those guys relentlessly.”

And look for them to keep posting up on Friday.

Pick: Princeton

Pick 'n' roll:

Friday's Best NBA Bet

Phoenix Suns at Utah Jazz (-6.5, 208)

So if the Jazz can’t beat the Suns with head coach Jerry Sloan, what will happen without him?

On Thursday, Sloan, joined by assistant Phil Johnson, resigned as head coach of the team. Assistant Tyrone Corbin likely will take over, but the team and staff is in shambles.

The move came as a result of Sloan’s deteriorating relationship with star point guard Deron Williams. Williams and Sloan have been fighting a lot recently, but it came to a head in a loss to the Bulls Wednesday when Williams called his own play on the floor and disregarded the set signaled by Sloan.

But it’s not like the pair were agreeing on anything this season.

In a 110-94 Phoenix win over Utah in October, Williams had one of his worst games of the year, posting a mere 13 points to go with just six assists against three turnovers. The former Illinois star finished 3 of 12 from the field with five fouls.

“We’re trying to run half of a system and then half just freelance,” Williams said. “We can’t do that. We’re not the Phoenix Suns. We’re not the New York Knicks. We’re not just coming out here and playing one-on-one. But that’s what’s happening. Things are breaking down and we’re going one-on-one the last five seconds of a shot clock.”

Don’t expect a quick turnaround against the Suns.

Pick: Phoenix

Friday's Best NHL Bets

Anaheim Ducks at Calgary Flames (-140, 5.5)

The Calgary Flames might not be the sexiest team in the league, but their wide-open style is paying huge dividends. Since a 6-0 loss to Minnesota about three weeks ago, the team is on an 8-0-1 tear thanks to a streaking offense. During its nine-game run, the team is averaging four goals per game – a substantial boost from the 2.8 goals per game it is averaging on the season.

"Obviously we've got a lot of work ahead of us yet," said Calgary forward Curtis Glencross. "If you look at the standings there's a few games in hand that other teams have on us. We've just got to keep it one game at a time and stick with our program.

On the other bench, the program has changed a bit for the Ducks. With All-Star goalie Jonas Hiller suffering from fatigue and placed on IR, backup Curtis McElhinney has taken over between the pipes. McElhinney has a 2.78 goals-against average and if he gets the nod over Hiller Friday, it could be a long night for the Ducks.

But scoring goals should come easier for Anaheim now, as stud forward Ryan Getzlaf has been activated after suffering multiple nasal sinus fractures that put him on IR. Getzlaf has 13 goals and 25 assists this season, including registering a helper in a 4-3 win over Vancouver in his first game back.

Overall, the Ducks have notched three or more goals in five straight games.

Pick: Over

New York Rangers at Atlanta Thrashers (-104, 5.5)

The Rangers have been playing terribly because of an atrocious power play. However, the Atlanta penalty kill has been so bad, it seems like most teams are always playing with a two-man advantage.

“Special teams, especially penalty killing, are the ultimate team game,” Atlanta coach Craig Ramsay said. “That’s where everybody has to be together. We you decide to attack and chase because of a bouncing puck and you have three out of four [players] doing it, it doesn’t work. On many occasions we had three out of four. It won’t work. It just won’t work.”

Overall, the Thrashers are killing off a mere 76 percent of opponents’ power-play chances, the second-lowest number in the league. Over the past 10 games, the team has given up 10 power-play goals and not surprisingly, is a horrid 2-8.

That’s great news for the Rangers. The team has hardly been setting the world on fire with its mediocre man advantage, putting just five power play goals into the net over their past 10.

“I’m really frustrated with a few of our guys on the power play,” New York coach John Tortorella said. “It’s not a rundown of our team, but we don’t have a legitimate quarterback on the power play.”

But that could be changing. Talented forward Wojtek Wolski was inserted at the point on the power play and helped generate several good chances in a 3-2 loss to Detroit, including picking up an assist. Look for the Wolski experiment to pay more dividends against the Thrashers.

Pick: Rangers

Bettors' Best Friend (BBF): Friday's Wagering Tips

Line To Watch

Miami Heat at Detroit Pistons (+7.5, 191.5)

Early sharp money jumped on the home side, taking the Pistons down from +8 to +7.5. The public will have its say with one of the East’s top teams facing one of the conference’s worst and widen the spread before tipoff.

Who’s Hot?

San Jose Sharks – The Sharks have won five games in a row and are 9-0-1 in their last 10 games. San Jose is on the road Friday, visiting the New Jersey Devils as a -125 favorite.

Who’s Not?

Cleveland Cavaliers – By now bettors are very familiar with the Cavaliers’ 26-game losing streak. But they might not have looked at Cleveland’s recent efforts. It seems all those losses are giving the Cavs some extra points on the spread, which the team is making the most of, going 3-1-1 ATS in the past five outings. Cleveland hosts the Los Angeles Clippers as a 3.5-point underdog Friday.

Injury To Watch

Michael Beasley, Minnesota Timberwolves – The talented forward is nursing a sore ankle and was limited at practice Thursday, making him a question mark against the Indiana Pacers Friday night. The T-Wolves have a shot at a legit winning streak versus the Pacers, having won and covered in back-to-back outings. Beasley missed Wednesday win over the Houston Rockets and was replaced by Corey Brewer in the starting five.

Key Stat

6 – The Los Angeles Lakers had six players score in double figures the last time they came to Madison Square Garden. Los Angeles topped the New York Knicks 115-105 as a 5.5-point road favorite on January 22, 2010. Kobe Bryant led the charge with 27 points in that game.

Game Of The Day

Detroit Red Wings at Boston Bruins (-138, 5.5)

Notable Quotable

"That's not true. I would never force coach Sloan out of Utah. He's meant more to this town and organization than I have by far. It's not my place." - Utah Jazz point guard Deron Williams on the resignation of head coach Jerry Sloan, one day after he and Sloan had a heated argument Wednesday night. Utah takes on the Phoenix Suns with interim head coach Ty Corbin at the wheel Friday.

Tips And Notes

-- The Tampa Bay Lightning are licking their wounds after a 7-4 loss to the Buffalo Sabres earlier this week. Tampa Bay could be without four key players when they take on the Carolina Hurricanes Saturday. Defenseman Mike Lundin is out with an abdominal strain, center Nate Thompson is nursing a concussion, winger Ryan Malone could be out until the postseason with a muscle strain and defenseman Matt Smaby is fighting through a knee injury.

- New York Knicks head coach Mike D’Antoni let his team have it after their loss to the Los Angeles Clippers Wednesday. The 116-108 defeat was New York’s fourth loss in the past six games, dropping the team to 3-3 ATS in that span. The Knicks trailed the Clippers by as many as 20 points, cutting the lead to three points late in the fourth quarter.

"The effort's not good enough," D'Antoni told reporters after the game. "There's times you lay an egg, but it should never be because we don't have the necessary heart or desire to do it. That was a total lack of commitment to beat a team that's talented."

New York hosts the Los Angeles Lakers Friday night.

- The Tennessee Chattanooga Mocs will play Western Carolina Friday night instead of Monday, after moving Thursday’s original game due to a flu outbreak. The Mocs have only five healthy players on the roster, which has been depleted due to illness, injury and the suspension of forward Chris Early. Chattanooga, which is 14-11 at the top of the Southern North standings and 9-12 ATS, will then turn around and play Appalachian State Saturday. Western Carolina also plays on short rest, facing Samford this weekend.
